A Note From Dan
4:15 a.m. I’m wide awake. I woke up and thought I’d go right back to sleep, but inspiration prevails so out of bed I get. After responding to blog comments and planning my day, I just can’t stop thinking about the funding project that took a big leap forward yesterday.
7:15 a.m. I begin my daily workout. I’m thinking that DBNR should be ready to start the process for receiving our major funding project by Monday, with the money arriving two to three weeks from now. As I said to a colleague this week, I’ve been here before, I’ve said this before, and hesitate saying it again with one exception: Once I stop speaking this dream of mine, it’s over. DBNR is committed to putting one family at a time in appropriate housing, and I won’t stop getting excited about that until I can’t think any longer.

It’s never a good idea for someone in business to talk politics. But as I think about what’s going wrong with our mortgage system, it seems hard to avoid. Satori Recommends: Fast and Easy Loan Modification
Loan modifications (or “loan mods” as they’re called) have gotten lots of attention in the recent past. Some states are increasingly regulating providers, with California and Florida being among the strictest. Whether you agree or disagree with the idea of loan modification or consumer protection, lenders are finally beginning to come around making this process easy, simple, and fast. The participation of third-party negotiators is in part responsible for this. Government perks and compensation for lenders’ losses is another.
Here is a company on whom we’ve done some due diligence and they appear to be one of the leaders in this process. A word of support here: I am available to discuss their offer with you but I am not processing their transactions; most of that is done via their website. There is a short window of opportunity so inquire right away to see what might be available for you. Watch for a blog post on this next week. Check out this Web site: www.Easy.imnotleaving.com
